A Draft Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) Environmental Report has been produced to support and is being consulted on alongside the Draft Masterplan in accordance with the Environmental Assessment of Plans and Programmes Regulations 2004 (SEA Regulations).
The Draft SEA Environmental Report assesses the Masterplan proposals against a series of environmental objectives, identifies pre- and post-mitigation effects and a series of recommendations to potentially enhance the sustainability of the proposals.

A Draft Habitat Regulations Assessment (HRA) Appropriate Assessment has been produced to support and is being consulted on alongside the Draft Masterplan in accordance with the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2017 (Habitat Regulations).
The Draft HRA Appropriate Assessment assesses the Masterplan proposals and likely significant effects upon protected sites, (notably the Hestercombe House SAC and Somerset Levels and Moors Ramsar).
This is supported by a Nutrient Neutrality Assessment and Mitigation Strategy which sets out the proposed strategy for mitigating phosphate impacts upon the Somerset Levels and Moors.
